October Chapter Luncheon -Jeff Crane presents "best practices for Vendor/Professional engagement
When: 10/12/2023Jeff Crane earned a BS in mechanical engineering from North Carolina State University in 1992 and became a licensed mechanical engineer in 1997. Jeff's career has included engineering design, project management, construction, operations, maintenance, consulting and technical sales. Jeff also published more than 80 articles as a monthly editorial columnist for Today's Facility Manager magazine. He is a LEED Accredited Professional with US Green Building Council and served as president and board member of the Charleston Chapter of the Association for Facilities Engineering.
As a property and facilities manager for multiple Class A owners, Jeff and his team were responsible for all aspects of operations, budgeting and tenant construction for a diverse suburban portfolio. This required establishing and maintaining relationships with a wide variety of outsourced service professionals including general contractors, design engineers, architects, security professionals, landscapers, housekeepers, HVAC mechanics, plumbers, trash & recycling, painters, electricians, etc.
As a sales engineer and consultant, Jeff has experience calling on building owners and property/facility managers responsible for commercial office, retail, hospitality, education, healthcare and industrial facilities. He has conducted numerous sales presentations, property inspections, IAQ assessments and developed pilot projects for clients.
After working on both sides of the sales process, Jeff brings extensive knowledge of "best practices" related to cold calling, presentations and cultivating "win/win" relationships. Jeff is also available for special projects, capex guidance, utilities management, staff training, technical workshops and mentoring related to HVAC operations, building automation systems, energy & water management strategies, building commissioning, indoor air quality and capital budget planning.
